Reflexology Therapy (cont)

Reflexology is an ever growing popular therapy in the west. William Fitzgerald, who introduced this therapy to the west in the 1920s from knowledge of the ancient egyptians, found that by applying pressure to an area of the foot he could anesthetise the ear and therefore enable him to perform a minor ear surgery.

By interpretting Egypian text it was soon discovered that many parts of the body had their own reflex points that corresponded with points on both the foot and hand. By stimulating those points an impulse was created that travelled along the body's meridian lines, having a direct effect on the part(s) of the body being treated. With more and more advances in the knowledge of reflexology over the years it has now become a highly recognised therapy that you should try!  Previous Page
